You Tell Me....

OK gals....I need your input. I am in rut. My oldest daughter is not thrilled with me trying new things on her hair (she is going to read this and tell me otherwise....but really, you should see her face when I try it.....love ya, girl!) Most of what I do in her hair, has been done at some point on these other fabulous hair blogs. And my other two daughters have such fine "wimpy" hair as it has been called. And I think "Jackie and Kassie's Sweet Do's" does a fantastic job. Is there something you want to see? Or some trick you'd like to learn? I am not fancy or intricate. And I don't get overly complicated, but I can do the basic. I know hair. My only regret (OK, so not my ONLY) but a big regret is that I didn't go to cosmetology school before having kids. Would you like more tutorials?

Maybe a home hair cutting 101 video?
More french braid tutorials?
More curling techniques?
Or pixie flips (topsy tails?)

You tell me......

You are very creative I'd love to see anything form you. But that hair cut 101 sounds pretty cool. I cut Beans hair and growing up I cut all my friends (boys and girls) hair it would be nice to know if I am doing it right or if there was an easier way to do it. KWIM???

I would love to learn how to trim my DD hair. $20 for a trim is crazy but I'm too scared to do it myself! LOL

Hair cutting would be great! I just trimmed, ok, by the time I was done it was a bit more than a trim (good thing her hair is quite long)so that would be very helpful.
BYW - THANKS for the tutorial on hair curling. I already knew the one where you twist the hair around he barrel, in fact it's my favorite to do, but I couldn't figure out how to curl using the flat iron. But now thanks to you, I do! Thanks again!

I would LOVE to learn how to trim the hair! I have 3 girls (one is just tiny and doesn't have much hair), but I hate having to pay to have their hair trimmed. I like them to have nicely trimmed hair though and would love to know how to do this. Thanks!!

All of it?!
Trims would be especially helpful.. I just can't let Ashley watch ;)

I think I have asked this of you before, but any suggestions on girls with really natural curly hair? I feel like I do the same hairstyles all the time. Thanks.

Hair Cut 101 sounds fantastic! I also love when bloggers show the products they use for the different types of hair, why they use it, and how they use it. That's way better than me standing in the aisle at Target for half and hour, trying to decide which label is the prettiest...

I'd also like to see more uses for ribbons - I have a ton of them from bow making and I have no idea what to do with them!

I don't mind recycled ideas. Anything to keep my brain going. But a hair cutting 101 would be great too! I've got two little girls with fine hair and occasionally want to keep the ends even but not do a huge cut job. I hope I'm doing it correctly! Thanks!

I would love basic hair cutting!

Hi, I have never left a comment but I "stalk" your blog often. I DID go to cosmetology school. I worked in a salon for 6 years before having my four kids. I have 2 daughters (one is only 7 months but has a lot of hair) I follow all the blog sights and copy everything on my DD hair! I just wanted to let you know that I can cut and color but they don't teach you "fun girly do's" in cosmetology! I just thought I would let you know you are Awesome! You would be better at doing nails, facials and cutting side burns if you went to school but they only taught a few up do's when I was in school. Your great!

I love your hair blog, as my DD has long red thicker hair and your blog helps me get more ideas for bigger girls!!! I'd love to see a hair cutting video and I'm still struggling with the whole flat iron curling deal. I have an expensive flat iron and cna straighten my hair (and DD's) but can't figure out how to curl. HELP!!

Home haircutting! My older girls have fine hair as well, one wavy and one with very tight curls that are prone to splitting and breakage. I have always cut their hair myself but I have no idea what I'm doing! And I have two boys as well, if you know how to do that, too!

I would love to see the hair trimming one. But I would really love to see a french braid tutorial- I know how to do a regular french braid, but can not for the life of me figure out how to do the other version where its inside out..(am I making sense?) thank you! and I love your blog!

I too would like to see some tutorials. It is nice to have a reference for how to do things. Also, any good hair ideas are great too.

Can you show how to do topsy tails?

Mandy said...

Hair cutting, yes!

I would also like more ideas for little girls with rather short hair (since I have two of them). I pretty much use one hairdo on them--parted in the middle with two little piggies on top. Their hair is beautiful right after their baths--nice and curly, but it pretty much only lasts until they nap or go to bed.

I'm with everyone else on the haircutting tutorials. Any chance you could include a boy's haircut, too? I think I could save a lot of money if I could cut my son's hair (and maybe my husband's if I get good enough and confident enough--he's actually willing to let me try).

Ooooh, I want trim tips, too! I don't even know what kind of scissors to use!

And as for the rest, don't feel bad about not knocking our socks off with something new every single time. Sometimes seeing different pictures or just a different hand in a style I've seen before for one reason or another finally "clicks" for me. Or, sometimes seeing new pictures convinces my daughter to keep letting me fix her hair! So hang in there and THANK YOU for all you've shared! =)

Thank you for doing this it helps alot to know you are hearing what is needed. I am in need of a video on the twist braid, the one like a french braid but a twist.
This is where I found one but mine will not turn out and I am thinking I need a video. I would really love it if you could do one.

Thanks, you are awesome with hair!!

Do you cut your daughter's hair? If so I'd love for you to show us how. My daughter needs a trim but I'm nervous to do it. I had it cut professionally but since she has curly hair it didn't turn out right, it made the top layer flat while everything underneath was curly?!?!

I love your blog! I have three boys and two girls and the hair cutting idea would be super great, could you show cutting boy hair too? I could save over 30$ a month! Wow. Whatever you choose to do, it will be great i'm sure thanks for sharing!

I really need to learn how to do an "inside out braid". I love them when the braid shows like a headband. I can French braid great but for some reason can't do it this way.

How about a video/tutorial on a plain ol' french braid? I get all mixed up and it never looks right - thanks!
